What to Include in Your Message
To help us resolve your issue quickly, please include the following details:
For broken tool reports:
- The tool page you were using (for example: YouTube Converter, TikTok Downloader, Tubidy MP3)
- The link you were trying to download — paste it in the email
- Your browser and device (for example: Chrome on Android, Safari on iPhone)
- A description of what happened — did it show an error message, or did nothing happen?
For general questions: Just describe what you need in plain language. We will figure out the best answer.
For feature or platform requests: Tell us which platform you want supported and what type of content you are trying to download. We actively expand our tool library based on user requests and consider all suggestions.
Common Questions Before You Write
Before emailing, check if your question is already answered here:
"A download tool isn't working."
Try clearing your browser cache and refreshing the page. If the issue continues across different browsers or devices, it may be a platform-side change that broke our tool. Email us at the address above and we will investigate.
"I can't download a private video."
SelfDownloader only works with publicly accessible content. Private accounts, friend-only posts, and locked content cannot be downloaded through any of our tools — this is by design.
"Can you add a new platform?"
Yes — email us with the platform name and what you want to download. We read all requests and add new tools based on demand.
"I need to report a copyright issue."
Please visit our DMCA page for the correct process. DMCA notices sent to our general email will be redirected to the right process.
What We Cannot Help With
To be transparent about our limitations:
- We cannot help with downloading content from private or locked accounts
- We cannot recover files that were not saved after download
- We do not provide technical support for third-party applications or tools
- We do not assist with bypassing DRM-protected content
Our Response Policy
A real person reads and responds to every email we receive — we do not use automated reply bots. Response time is typically 1–2 business days. If you have not heard back within 3 days, feel free to send a follow-up.
